Automate agent bonuses without the spreadsheet
Running an ISO means managing compensation rules across hundreds of agents, pay plans, and sub-ISOs. Most teams still do this in spreadsheets, applying bonuses manually at payout time and hoping the numbers match the contract. VEXIS automates it. Finance and Revenue Enablement now own the rules, not the data entry.
The spreadsheet bonus workflow is the same at every ISO. Someone maintains a master list of agents, their pay plans, their bonus tiers, and their current status. Each month or quarter, Finance manually enters bonus records, double-checks the tiers, and calculates payout. When an agent moves to a different pay plan, the spreadsheet gets updated, but so does the payout logic. When a Sub-ISO agent needs different bonus rules, someone manually redirects them. It works until it does not, and then you spend a week tracking down which agent got overpaid by how much.
VEXIS replaces that manual process with rules you set once and automation that runs every time. Finance and Revenue Enablement define bonus templates and settings. The system applies those rules at the moment an agent gets added to the platform, and again if their pay plan ever changes. If an agent is redirected to a Sub-ISO, the system defers to the Sub-ISO's bonus rules automatically. Payout calculates from a frozen snapshot of the contract taken at onboarding, not from live rules re-evaluated at payout time. No spreadsheet, no month-end scramble, no reconciliation nightmare.
How it works
You set the rules in templates. Revenue Enablement owns the bonus settings: tiers, thresholds, amounts, conditions. When a new agent is added and their pay plan is assigned, the system auto-populates their bonus records using those templates. If the agent's pay plan changes later, the system re-syncs their settings to match the new plan. All of this happens without manual intervention. The finance team sees the results in consolidated reporting, not in a spreadsheet.
The frozen-contract snapshot matters. Payout calculates what the agent earned based on the contract they had when they onboarded, not the contract they have today. That removes the ambiguity that comes from re-evaluating rules at payout time and discovering that a rule change three months ago now means an agent should have been paid differently. The contract is locked. Payout is predictable.
What this means for your book
For larger ISOs, bonus automation scales. You can run dozens of pay plans and bonus structures without hiring someone to manage the spreadsheet. For multi-tier organizations, Sub-ISO rules apply automatically when you redirect an agent. For Finance, automate agent deductions without the spreadsheet becomes part of a real system, not a workaround. You own the rules. The platform enforces them.
The rules-driven model also protects you. Because the system calculates from a frozen snapshot, you have a clear audit trail of what contract applied at payout time. That is different from the spreadsheet, where the current version is always the source of truth and nobody remembers what changed six months ago.
